Amanda Hermitage has been a therapist for eighteen years. She qualified in1992 in ITEC Massage and subsequently trained in On-Site Massage (1993), Reflexology (1994), the Bowen Technique (1995) and Body Control Pilates © (2000).

As well as specialising in neck and back problems, Amanda has a particular interest in the causes of re-injury in relation to movement and posture and works with referrals from physiotherapists teaching rehabilitation and remedial exercise.  She also teaches independently to groups and on a one-to-one basis and gives talks on posture with an emphasis on identifying potential problems caused by sitting for long periods. In addition she practises the Bowen Technique and provides in-house stress management services, most recently at ICL/Fujitsu Services and Hanson Westhouse Securities.  Pilates' clients include Associated Newspapers and Telegraph Media Group.

Amanda is a member of the Body Control Pilates © Association, the Bowen Therapists’ European Register (30010) and the Register of Exercise Professionals Level 3 (R0033411) and an associate member of the Association of Natural and Physical Therapists (202477). She is also registered with the British Complementary Medicine Association (PO0370), the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (000245-B10), the General Council for Massage Therapy (00883) and on the NHS Register of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners (2519).
